Cherise Trotman is a specialist in innovation, climate and sustainable trade. She works at the intersection of development finance and innovation ecosystems to build collaborations that advance resilient economies and unlock finance for sustainable development, particularly in small island developing states (SIDs).

She has worked in several multilateral organisations across the Caribbean and Europe in cross-cutting thematic areas including blue & green innovation, trade regulations, climate change and ecosystem building. A seasoned professional with deep expertise with government officials, founders and executives.

She is a former Board member of the Caribbean Women in Trade Organisation (a post she held for 3 years) which supports and advocates for women entrepreneurs across the Caribbean.

She is currently a mentor in the Conecta Caribe programme supporting startups working in the agri-business and AI application.
